History:
The company had found by the late "Sri Karupakala S Lakshmaiah Setty" in
the year 1947 with its headquarters in Bangalore, Karnataka India.
He migrated from a
small village called Chintamani near Kolar, Bangalore in the year 1930.
He had worked as a
sales representative, traveled all over India. His next job was sales representative
for an Incense manufacturing company "Veera nagappa and sons".
Started the first
company "M/s Sudharshan Benzoin and Soap Nut Works" along
with Mr. Rajaram Naidu in the year 1944. It was not successful. He started his
own company on March 24th Monday 1947 with the company name "Sri VijayalakshmiAgarbathi Works" with the brand "Liberty and Vijaya(viji)". These two brands are
successfully running for the last 7 decades onwards. "Viji" is one of
the popular brands in Africa, Latin America, North America, the Middle East and
Asia.
This company has two subsidiaries.
1. Liberty Aromas:
Established in 2014, handles all the pan India marketing
for the parent company.
2. Liberty Fragrances LLP:
Established in the year 2017 manufacturing and marketing of personal, home, and air care lifestyle products. Fragrant sachets, Incense sticks, aromatherapy oils, fragrance oil, incense cones, gas, and water-based air fresheners, reed diffusers, and more.
